Schreiner's Gardens began in 1925, when our founder, F.X. Schreiner, planted the seeds of what would inspire four generations of flower farmers. Over the decades, our family's commitment to quality and innovation and our fantastic team has kept the business flourishing. Today, we are proud to be heading into our 100th year of family farming. Located in the heart of Oregon's Willamette Valley, our 200 acres are bursting with vibrant iris and daylily fields and breathtaking display gardens.

Meet Our Family

Each generation of the Schreiner family has brought its unique vision and passion to the business. From our early days of hybridizing irises to becoming a beloved destination for flower enthusiasts worldwide, our family's love for irises and dedication to spreading their joy has remained at the heart of what we do.

• F.X. Schreiner laid the groundwork with his passion for hybridizing.
• Second Generation Bob, Connie and Bernard took their father's advice, moving the family business from Minnesota to Oregon's Willamette Valley for its rich soil and ideal iris-growing climate.
• Third Generation family members David, Ellen, Tom, Ray, Steve, Liz and Leonard brought unmistakable transformation to the family business in iris breeding, a changing wholesale market, and the rise internet sales.
• Fourth Generation Ben Schreiner is helping lead Schreiner's Gardens into it's Centennial Anniversary working in many areas including iris hybridizing and restarting the daylily program.

Schreiner's Gardens is more committed than ever to preserving our legacy while embracing the future. Our Centennial Celebration will include:

• Community events and Bloom Season festivities in May 2025.
