Rio Rojo
This silky red self is a Purple Serenade derivative. That explains the undertones of sparkling claret as shown in our photo. Also note how the lavishly formed flowers are handsomely ruffled and hold their glossy color without fading, features not common in red Iris. In addition, excellent plant vitality means that each stem happily excels in producing a plethora of 8-10 buds per stalk. Rio Rojo is a significant new achievement in color, flower form and plant vigor in the red Iris class.
