Oregon Firestorm
- Ships in July, August and September
September 2020 will long be remembered here in Oregon for the firestorm that descended upon the communities nestled along the western foothills of the Cascade Mountains. At one point, the fires raged within 20 miles of our farm here in the Willamette Valley. The resultant destruction in surrounding communities was heartbreaking for us to witness. The blazing yellow standards and subdued ochre falls of Oregon Firestorm, (the winning entry in our Annual Iris Naming Contest) evoke the filtered light and smoke-choked air of that frightening stretch of September days. Oregon Firestorm blooms mid-season, displaying eight large flowers on strong 37 inch bloom stalks.
